One metre of steel

The 100 cm gong is the largest instrument in our collection, and the one that asks for the most time in the atelier. Its voice is low and enveloping: it rises slowly, fills the space and stays there. It is made for large rooms, studios, ceremonies and performances, and for players who love what only a big gong can do.

Tuning upon availability

The 1 metre gong covers a full low octave, from C1 to C2. As with all our large gongs, tuning depends on the instruments in the atelier at each moment. Tell us in the message which note or character you are looking for and we will reply with what is possible, or keep you on the waiting list.

Shaped, tuned and coloured by hand

Shaped by hand in Valencia, through several rounds of tuning and heat treatment. The heat stabilises the steel and leaves gold, violet and blue tones: no two gongs look alike. Care is simple: a microfibre cloth and 96% alcohol. Why stainless steel?
